    Norfolk Southern and it's predecessors were known for ordering high-hood diesels. Here, two former Southern Railway units, an SD40-2 and a GP38AC are both leading up a train in their NS colors. In recent years, the high-hoods have slowly been retired or rebuilt and are ever decreasing in numbers.
