Offered for auction are four fresh to the market hand painted on plywood signs from the estate of an ex Metropolitan Transit Authority employee. It is said that they date to the last years of surface trolley operations. Mounting marks on the rear would suggest that they were attached to two vertical sign posts.
Vibrant original paint in overall great condition. Normal paint and use wear as expected on an outdoor sign. Minor losses and stress cracks as seen in the images. Measure about 24 inches square with slight variations. Display well in a block of four or a horizontal or vertical line.
